10radio

10Radio is a community radio station broadcasting on 105.3fm in western Somerset, England. Broadcasts can also be found online at or via iTunes (look under eclectic). 10Radio was formed in 2006 after two years of successful pilot broadcasts. It started full time broadcasts in January 2008 and now has over 50 hours of live programming each week, a similar amount of repeated programmes and playout from an eclectic music archive the rest of the time. There are over 70 volunteer presenters of shows varying from a weekly community programme (Friday 9am), daily breakfast shows (from 7am), and music ranging from dub reggae to delta blues, and from rock'n'roll to raging thrash metal, via a bit of Wagner and Gilad Atzmon. 10Radio provides training for its volunteers and has just acquired a mobile broadcast and training studio which will be providing training and other services across Somerset.
