Cancer creates a crisis within a family, emotional and financial disruption among other negative impacts. Studies show that over 50% of children in these families have post-traumatic stress syndrome from worry and uncertainty. Often the family is forced to cut the "extras" to pay mounting bills. We are here to help those families and children maintain as normal a childhood as possible. 12 Oaks Foundation is a 501(c)3 that provides grants to help defray the cost of sports and extracurricular activities for children in families suffering temporary financial hardship related to ongoing cancer treatment.
