2430 Group is a nonpartisan, independent non-profit organization that defends the U.S. private sector from theft of intellectual property (IP) and attacks on critical infrastructure. Our team comprises experts from intelligence, diplomacy, the military, technology, law, law enforcement, academia, and the business world. We focus on the threats that originate from abroad, rather than the U.S. This is because foreign, state-supported actors bring to bear government-level resources and safe harbor from U.S. law enforcement that U.S. based bad actors cannot ever hope to exploit. 2430 Group fills the gap between the U.S. government and the U.S. private sector. The government certainly has a role, but is neither oriented nor authorized to help the private sector until a crime has been committed. That is too late. By that point, the targeted company has already lost control of its IP or suffered damage to its infrastructure. The private sector has the authority to act in advance, but lacks the expertise and training to recognize and mitigate threats. 2430 Group trains private companies to defend themselves. 2430 Group focuses on harms to U.S. business via eight vectors: supply chain infiltration, predatory investment, exploitation of commercially available data (OSINT and CSINT), lawfare, and malicious or careless insiders, cyber attacks, coercion, and consent.
