Feel the winds of design “Imagine sitting in your living room when suddenly a fresh breeze comes in and magically turns your space into an inspiring environment you instantly fall in love with.” That is the goal of 2VIENTOS - as “two winds” - when creating new exiting furniture. Its way to achieve that goal is asking the right questions instead of traveling the known paths. Does a chair has to have 4 legs? Experimentation and challenging the status quo, researching new shapes, functions and manufacturing techniques. Is it comfortable and easy to use? That is the real challenge of design, unite a beautiful shape with the best user experience. What appeals the senses? The feel of natural materials, the satisfaction of looking at a well designed product and an engaging interaction while using it. 2VIENTOS believes in a long lasting relationship between each piece and their user. That is only possible, if the product is beautiful, pleasant for all senses, easy to use, comfortable and of high quality. Pieces to enjoy and last for generations. The objects are produced in cooperation with selected workshops in Germany, mainly Hamburg. Special and limited pieces are created working together with the best artisans in Mexico, supporting their communities. An important goal of the “2VIENTOS-Project” is to help children living in poverty. Therefore is a part of the revenue destined to this mission. The brand was initiated by the experienced product designer Roberto Stein Benítez. He began his journey when he decided to leave Mexico-City being 19 years old, to study product design in Germany. He founded his design studio in 2001 in Hamburg, the place where his grandparents started their journey in the 1900’s. Now he is working on his own long planned adventure - 2VIENTOS. His goal is to unite the German world with its functional, purist design and the colorful world of Mexico with its emotional heritage.
