3 Thinking Marketing

3 Thinking Marketing is made up of 2 marketing professionals Helen Shepard and Michelle Martin. We work with local charities providing support on fundraising strategy, marketing and communications. Our background is in individual giving, having met and worked for Whitewater, the charity market specialist agency down in London. We have worked for and with many different not for profit organisations big and small, NCH Action For Children, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, MNDA, Arthritis Care and Amnesty International. Our aim is to work with organisations and causes we feel passionate about. Primarily we look at ways of maximising return on fundraising investment, better use of current assets (database, various touchpoints) and develop more effective communications to individual supporters in order to generate unrestricted funds. Since moving back up to the North West 5 years ago we have found the challenges local organisations face are quite different to National charities, in terms of galvanising support and raising awareness. However the techniques are often very similar whether you are a small, large, local or national charity, it is still about connecting with your supporters and providing them with strong tangible reasons to support.
