35 Solar is a new business pioneering a new manufacturing technique for making cost-effective thin film solar panels. The main hindrance for the solar panel industry currently is that solar panels are not currently cost competitive. We believe in solar energy as a sustainable power source and want to see it have more of an impact. Reducing cost is key to reaching that goal. 35 Solar has a new technology that can dramatically reduce the cost of manufacturing thin film solar panels, and can do so using existing designs and the next generation designs which are the future of the industry. Our process is very flexible and has the ability to adapt to the rapidly advancing research in 3rd generation photovoltaics, including solar designs. These solar designs use combinations of elements from the periods and V, and have theoretical efficiencies of up to 70%. The design is where the name "35 Solar" comes from. Our technology has the ability to manufacture these design cost effectively.
