3Dinthebox is a family business that first started off as a hobby but quickly became “serious business”2014 was the beginning of 3Dinthebox as an online shop for 3D printer hobbyists and enthusiasts. The first years were a rollercoaster of exploring, learningand expanding our products range and offering greatly demanded and needed training. This made 3Dinthebox an evangelist for the 3D printing community showing people the marvels of this technology that became available for the big public after theexpiration of many patents that kept this away from the general public.Very soon 3Dinthebox became the place to be for entry level 3D printers, 3D scanners and supplies. Very quickly it was clear that not only the hobbyist noticed the tremendous advantages of these newly available technologies, schools, and small businesses followed. This grew the business so much that we could no longer manage this from our basement and garage. We also realized that customers like to see before they buyso we decidedto have a showroom/shopand in April 2018 we opened our shop in the heart of Europe, Brussels.This was a major step because we could showcase all the products we have, we have a place where people can come to repair there printers, buy spare parts, filaments. and this also allowed for us to create a small classroom where we can receive four students at onceto teach everything about 3D printingWe are very enthusiastic, openminded, customer minded, we know what our customers need and always try to fulfill their demands. We realized that customers are always looking for a personalizedprinter so we looked for a solution.IT3D is a company that shares the same spirit and enthusiasm for this wonderful world of 3D and soon after we were introduced to each other we realised that this would result in a partnership that has the power to convince the world that 3D printing is the only way to work on a bright future for everyoneand that printers can be personalized.
