Rhinoceros, well known as Rhino3D or simply Rhino, is a three-dimensional modeling software based on NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines). This term means a mathematical representation that can define with high precision every kind of shape, from the simple 2D line till the more complex 3D solid or free-form 3D organic surface. For their particular flexibility and accuracy, the NURBS models can be used in any kind of production process, including internal design, naval and jewellery design, and the industrial production by the prototyping process.
