3psmars International Alliance For Development Effectiveness

Mission 3psmars International (or Alliance for Development Effectiveness) is an International Non-profit Organization and Think Tank devoted to promoting best practices in results-based approach to policy, planning and management in the public sector, development effectiveness and relevant programmes and activities that promote Goals 16 and 17 of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The name 3psmars is derived from Policy, Planning and Public Sector (3PS) Management for Results (MARS). 3psmars is conceived to initiate intellectual action for research and capacity building towards increased efficiency in public policy, leadership and management. Its actions support public efforts in building people and institutions by fostering dialogues of politics, government, public agencies, think-tanks, personnel, academicians, students, research outlets and academic institutions with a view to re-linking research and policy in the practice of Managing for Development Results (MfDR). The project emphasizes national perspectives for information and action, to build on common country development route for innovation and improvement in the public service that generates assessable development results. The establishment of 3pmars is based on the rationale that sustainable development can only happen when governance, policy and public management are results focused, consistently linking administrative and management process to peoples’ well being and adopting a holistic approach to tackling the economic, ecological and social dimensions of development. By providing a free and easy-to-use online knowledge management system, and facilitating open source sharing, professional interaction and exchange, its Flagship project (3psmars.org), hopes to meet its primary objective of advocating for the principles of Results-Based Management (RBM) and Managing for Development Results (MfDR) in public leadership and management.
