4-H Zimbabwe

Goal: ”Active and meaningful youth involvement in developmental issues in Zimbabwe” Youth empowerment and civic engagement, climate change and sustainable food security and healthy living in Zimbabwe underpins of our work at 4-H Zimbabwe Foundation. Youth empowerment and inclusion are critical for ensuring holistic and sustainable development. Whereas till date, youth are not playing an active role in the developmental issues of this country, this has prompted the formation of 4-H Zimbabwe to ensure a developed country were young people play a significant role in development. Furthermore there are new emerging issues that require our attention in finding lasting solutions to youth involvement and inclusion at a tender age on developmental issues in Zimbabwe. The emerging challenges require that we nurture children at a young age so that they channel their efforts on developmental issues. This will ensure the empowerment of youth and children to promote the long-term sustainability of our nation. In this regard nurturing in agriculture of schoolchildren and out of school youth remains a strategic approach to realising food security and promotes sustainability.
