Did you know that of the nearly 75 Mn enterprises in India, ONLY 4% enterprises are women-owned and which hire workers? At its full potential, by 2030, there could be 12.6 Mn women-owned enterprises hiring workers in India envisaged to create an additional employment for 150-170 Mn people by then. This is equivalent to more than 25% of the jobs required to absorb the entire working-age population by 2030! Such is the capability and power in the hands of women entrepreneurs in India! Yet, the bitter truth is that India ranks 140 (of 156 countries) in the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Index 2021. India is DOWN 28 places since 2020, 31 places since 2018 and 42 places since 2006! We NEED a revolution of sorts for women entrepreneurs to claim their rightful place in the Indian and global economy. To enable such a revolution, we at 46 XX have embarked on a mission to build India's largest comprehensive digital ecosystem for women entrepreneurs to DEMOCRATIZE ACCESS to INFORMATION, INSPIRATION & NETWORKS!
