4a manufacturing GmbH is part of the 4a group and is the world leader in the production of thin hard-foam sheets and “micro-sandwich” materials for the consumer electronic market since more than 10 years. This technology enables innovative lightweight designs for panel or shell constructions, by substituting monolithic materials like metals or fiber composites with thin sandwich materials. Based on the flexible material composition, it’s possible to use CIMERA® for many other specific application fields like automotive, rail, aviation etc. Major part for the creation of an innovative sandwich material is the selection of the right core material. 4a manufacturing developed a ground-breaking technology for the production of thin hard foam sheets, called MILLIFOAM®, out of commercial available foam materials.
