WHO WE ARE 4B is a collective of researchers, designers and engineers that will help you improve women’s lives through design. We work with companies and organizations developing compelling and functional solutions in design and innovation. WHY WE CARE By the end of the decade there will be close to 4 billion women in the world. Women make up half the world’s population, account for the world’s largest economy, and represent the world’s largest financial opportunity. Yet women are so often misunderstood. It results in part from a gender imbalance in industry. Only 15% of the design and innovation industry is female, yet women influence 85% of all consumer goods and services. Understanding women is crucial for success in both developed and developing countries to establish stronger personal connections to products, services, brands and systems. THE COLLECTIVE MODEL 4B Collective is different than a typical agency. We are a network of professionals with expertise in product and service design, engineering, design research, biomechanics, psychology, branding and trend analysis. WHAT WE DO Design We undertake design projects or collaborate with your team to deliver a design vision and strategy. Programs include product and service development, digital experience, and brand experience. Workshops We can lead your team though problems and issues women face in your category, identifying the best strategies to adopt to make your female customers happy. Opportunity audit We identify opportunities to win with women. We examine the various “touch points” you have with your customers, identifying those that may be helping or hurting your relationship with females. Design strategy Our team will craft a concrete plan, along with visual guides, so that current and future projects meet the needs and desires of women. We help direct internal innovation teams and build organizational momentum with a vision, a strategic framework and a business case.
