The vision of 4RE is to become world class company providing clean and renewable energy in Ethiopia and to become major player in renewable energy in East Africa. Its mission is to develop clean and renewable fuels from municipal wastes and market it to consumers locally in urban areas and remote places in the country. The company is currently working on the engagement of two main projects. These are: 1. Kaliti Biogas Upgrading and Bio-fertilizer project. This is based on the biogas generated from the expanded facility of Kaliti Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is owned by Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA). The biogas generated will be purified then compressed and bottled in a cylinders to be distributed to consumers in Addis Ababa. 4RE is also engaged in the production of bio-fertilizer from reusing the sludge as byproduct. Akaki-Chafe Biogas Upgrading and Bio-fertilizer Project. This is also similar to the Kaliti plant stated above but with smaller capacity.
