5 Bats was established to improve economic conditions for Aboriginal Australians through Direct Financial support, Land Stewardship and purchase, Original Biodiversity Training, Empowered Partnerships and Advocacy for Systemic Change. All of 5 Bats work is framed upon strengthening and restoring Mother Earth through the Ancient 5 Two Dimensional Kinship Laws of Aboriginal connection to country – Skyworld, Family, Land, Water and Ritual Kinship” The long-term sustainability and protection of Mother Earth underpins all our decision making and partnerships. The 5 Bats mission is to strengthen Aboriginal Australian economies to support and restore healthy Aboriginal communities connected to country. We invest in and create innovative institutions and models that strengthen asset control and support economic development for Aboriginal Australian people and their communities. With the support of individuals, foundations, corporate organisations and private donors, 5 Bats improves economic conditions for Aboriginal Australians through the Acquisition of Unencumbered Freehold Land, Stewardship of country, Technical Assistance & Training, Direct Financial Grants, Advocacy & Systemic change in six domains: 1. Acquiring and investing in restoring Original Biodiversity using Aboriginal Land Management practices 2. Achieving Aboriginal Financial Empowerment 3. Strengthening Language & Aboriginal Community Organisations 4. Advancing Household & Community Asset-Building Strategies 5. Supporting Aboriginal ownership in the full supply chain of Native Foods & medicine whilst protecting those knowledge's in the communities they originate 6. Stewarding Aboriginal Lands and supporting their return to Traditional Owners
