No contradiction here - to enhance night vision we dim to less than 0.5nit (the equivalent of the light of one candle spread over two square meters). 5K’s displays are the only sunlight viewable LCDs on the market. Our water-cooled and air-cooled models are and nits respectively, so they are truly viewable in direct sunlight. Our interior models are nits which is the same brightness offered in our competition’s exterior models.
