78 Derngate
78 Derngate is an award-winning historic house in the heart of Northampton. Famously remodelled by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1916, it is the only house designed by him in England. Along with the Mackintosh designed interiors, the museum features models, work and artefacts relating to the Bassett-Lowke family, owners of the house in 1916. The Galleries feature regular exhibitions from local artists, showcasing work which takes inspiration from CRM, local sites and heritage, Art Nouveau and more.
