8 Wentworth Chambers

8 Wentworth was established in 1957. We are adjacent to the Law Courts Building in Phillip Street, Sydney. Our members are independent counsel at the private Bar. 8 Wentworth has 17 members: 4 Senior Counsel and 13 Junior Counsel. The Floor also has 7 associate members licensing rooms on an annexed floor in Macquarie Street, Sydney. Members are instructed by solicitors to advise, and to represent clients in trials and appeals in all jurisdictions, and in alternative dispute resolution. Areas of experience include administrative law, banking, bankruptcy and insolvency, building and construction law, commercial law, common law, conflicts of law, constitutional law, corporations, criminal law, customs, defamation, disciplinary proceedings, discrimination and human rights, equity, family law, industrial and employment law, inquests and commissions of inquiry.
