95 North Productions is the house music production duo of Doug Smith and Richard Payton. Specialties are soulful house music production, remixing, songwriting, and DJ'ing. Company History: Richard Payton and Doug Smith, also known as 95 North, released several soulful house gems during the 90's and early on labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Emotive, Henry Street, King Street, Kult, 4th Floor, and their own 95 North label. Among those releases are "My Life" and "Hold On" with Sabrynaah Pope,"Let Yourself Go" as 95 North,"Bring Back the Love" feat. Laura Harris, and "Sunday Shoutin'" as Johnny Corporate. They even co-wrote and co-produced "Just a Freak" by Crystal Waters feat. Dennis Rodman which was used as the theme song for the major motion picture "Double Team". After taking break for several years, Richard resurrected the 95 North Label in February 2012. All of the latest releases can be found at Richard continues to work in the studio on upcoming releases and remixes. Doug continues to DJ. The two plan to collaborate again in the studio producing as well as in the club DJing.
