A Found Future Inc

A Found Future Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting young people, age 14-21, who are experiencing or leaving foster care. We establish partnerships and capture resources to fill the gaps resulting from the foster care experience. Directly funding necessary supports will transform the lives of foster youth, empowering them to break the cycle of adversity and become secure, independent, and purposeful adults. Foster youth face significant barriers in accessing technology, with only 5% in rural and 21% in urban settings having regular computer access. This digital disparity hinders their educational and career opportunities. A Found Future closes this gap by providing foster youth with laptops, tablets, Wi-Fi hotspots, software, and training. This enables safe technology access, academic excellence, knowledge expansion, and improved career prospects! Mobility is a key factor in a young person's independence, self-esteem, and accessibility to experiences and opportunities. But foster youth simply have no structured path to safely and legally operate motor vehicles. A Found Future assists foster youth in obtaining driver’s education, an instructional permit, a driver’s license, a vehicle, and insurance. Career readiness and employment is critical to personal, professional, and economic development. But foster youth feel an intense skills gap and repeatedly ask for help in obtaining meaningful jobs to provide for themselves and their families. A Found Future pays tuition for vocational programs and trade schools, and facilitates mentorships and apprenticeships in their desired fields.
