I founded A Modern Warrior to help veterans, first responders, and high performing individuals reconnect with purpose, discipline, and a tribe — especially after the uniform comes off. As a former Navy Special Operations EOD Tech and weapons instructor, I was trained to stay sharp, resilient, and mission-ready. But after nine years of service, I found myself losing a battle I wasn’t prepared for — the one within. Like many, I struggled with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and knew I needed professional help. I found the support I needed through programs like Boulder Crest and the Home Base Program in Boston. There, I gained not only a clinical understanding of my diagnoses, but also something more important — a tribe that truly understood me. A Modern Warrior blends the best of both worlds: tactical firearms training and performance with the tools that helped save my life — yoga, breathwork, and mental health support grounded in a tribe mentality. We train for the fight — and we train for the peace that follows.
