Aai Poggenpohl

As the first kitchen brand in the world, Poggenpohl has been a leading innovator of kitchen design for over a century. Since its conception by Friedemir Poggenpohl in 1892, the mission behind the brand has been to produce better and more productive spaces through the introduction of more ergonomic worktops and innovations in storage solutions. In 1928, this culminated into development of interconnecting cabinets with functional interiors, which eventually became the unit kitchen of the 1950s, and the fitted kitchen, introduced in 1962. The fitted kitchen concept was the precursor for today’s kitchen designs. Poggenpohl continued to grow in the 70s, 80s and 90s with the introduction of the first solid wood kitchen, larger and more efficient cabinet body structures, and industry leading dimensional standards.
