Founded in 1988 as A.B Sealants Ltd, AB Building Products has grown from a small family-run business into a trusted supplier in the building and construction industry. Our journey began in January 1989 when Nick Richmond started selling silicones, sealants, adhesives, and fixings to the double glazing sector across the South Coast of England. As demand grew, Nick’s sons, Michael and Jamie, joined the company, furthering our commitment to quality and service. In 1995, we expanded our operations, adding a wider range of building products such as PVC fascia, soffit boards, window trims, and PVC guttering and downpipes. This move also allowed us to introduce polycarbonate roofing sheets and decorative PVC internal cladding for bathrooms and showers, catering to the diverse needs of our customers. The advent of the internet and online shopping marked a significant turning point for us. Recognising the potential, Jamie launched our website, focusing on niche markets with specialised silicones, sealants, adhesives, PVC internal cladding, and DIY spray foam kits. This innovative approach earned us the 'Test Valley & Hampshire Small Business of the Year Award' in 2007. By 2009, we had outgrown our original premises and moved to a larger space, allowing us to expand our product line to include Composite Decking. Today, we continue to innovate with the introduction of our own brand Fire Deck fibre cement and ceramic decking solutions, to meet the demand for fire rated products. Our commitment to quality and service remains steadfast as we continue to grow and supply businesses worldwide.
