AbodesJoy trains and empowers diverse learners – women, nonbinary people, and transgender people – in home repair to build skills, confidence, and community. Our vision: Home is vital to humans. We envision a world where women, nonbinary, and transgender people feel- Inspired to create comfortable and joyful living spaces- Empowered to sustain, improve, and give back to their communities- Equipped to negotiate with contractors and home repair companies- That they possess skills and literacy toward home equity and economic mobility; and - Confident that they can do more than they previously thought possible.
