At About Life, we know that attending a workshop or being immersed in information doesn’t guarantee learning, or change. If people aren’t engaged, nothing sticks. Learning happens when something matters. When someone uncovers a meaningful insight for themselves—and chooses to think or act differently because of it. That’s real growth. As learning designers and facilitators, we seek to create experiences that are relevant, memorable, and transformational. When a learner decides an old pattern of thinking is no longer helpful—they have the opportunity to choose an alternative. In other words, “a learner learns what a learner wants to learn.” (Thanks Rich Allen). At About Life, our experiential activities create safe spaces for reflection and real change. We help people question their own thinking and behaviours—not by telling them what to do, but by letting them discover through questioning, what no longer serves them.
