Above The Clouds Abc Early Intervention

ABove the Clouds (ABC) has been in the “better beginnings for babies business” in Stanislaus County for six years. It is set to grow and expand beyond its initial single Infant Development Specialist offerings to a team of multidisciplinary professionals. We will be offering a wide array of early childhood services (e.g. speech and language, physical therapy, sensory integration, social development, etc.) to young families. Individualized home-based services will continue to be the core of our offerings, and many or most of our clients will find us through the Early Start Program and their eligibility for specialized services through Valley Mountain Regional Center. The infants and toddlers who have benefited from ABC have had obstacles (clouds) to overcome early in their lives. They may have been born too early or too sick to come straight home to their families. They might have been diagnosed with genetic abnormalities or mysterious failure to thrive. Others are healthy but have difficulty making progress in specific areas of their development, like gaining mobility or learning to talk or exploring new activities. Worried parents or helpful caregivers reach out to the California Early Start program and are then referred to us for therapy, family coaching, and a lift "above the clouds" to see how to help the child improve and hopefully overcome their difficulties. Helping children with special needs is much like shining a light on the fun and fascinating ways that all children learn. As part of our expansion, we look forward to making our focused and fun techniques available to all types of children in our community by offering classes, workshops and social events in the near future.
