Absolute Metrology Services has over 25 years of experience in optical metrology. We provide optical testing services, confirming quality of surface form, roughness, transmitted wavefront, and much more. Our customers with purchased parts use AMS services to check the quality of a new supplier or audit current suppliers. Our customers on the manufacturing side use AMS services for developing their processes, settle customer quality disputes, and have their reference flats and spheres certified to nanometer levels using ISO-17025 compliant test procedures. AMS provides precise, reliable test results with quick part turnaround. For clients with a unique optical metrology requirement, AMS designs and builds custom optical test stands, to be used at AMS or installed on-site. For customers who own interferometers, AMS provides the most comprehensive on-site training, rotating the opticians through hands-on exercises at the instrument. We allow for a part-time, split schedule using 3-4 hour training blocks. This allows for maximum information retention by the students in the group being trained while the second group can keep production running, and then switch spots for the second half of the day.
