Acadian Consulting Group specializes in the analysis of economic, statistical, financial, and accounting issues that arise in the regulation and public policy of utilities and energy companies. We serve dozens of federal and state government agencies and municipalities, publicly owned corporations, non-profit groups, and trade associations spanning the entire spectrum of organizations involved in public utility regulation and other fields. Founded in July 1995, ACG consists of professional staff with more than 95 years of experience combined. Our firm prides itself on its sensitivity to client needs in terms of not only cost and schedule, but also in the flexibility of developing a high quality work product. The members of ACG have highly specialized educational training and professional experience in conducting energy and regulated industry research and analysis. Collectively, our staff has participated in over 300 regulatory proceedings in at least 25 different states, as well as abroad. These engagements include work performed for numerous state and federal agencies as well as both public and private companies. In addition, ACG consultants have served as staff members of public utility regulatory commissions and/or public counsels. Given our first-hand experience working with and for regulators, we understand the complicated needs that can arise in overseeing regulated markets. Members of our firm have extensive experience with most commonly used empirical software, including SAS, SPSS, and LIMDEP, IMPLAN Pro and ArcView.
