Acadian Media is an online publishing firm with deeps roots in the information technology field. The company works closely with IT communities that it develops and fosters to provide valuable, timely and relevant information to its members who are primarily IT professionals. Technical information in the form of digital media is developed both in house and externally by the firm’s clients and is distributed via the company’s emerging IT Specialist Network. Some examples of the types of digital media it develops and/or promotes include articles, white papers, case studies, e-books and videos. The company now operates a large online portal or social media hub that is currently in beta as well as, several social media communities located on Linkedin, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and YouTube all of which form the IT Specialist Network. The company’s main Web sites provide the core platform for passive distribution of technical content to viewers and members of its communities.
