We develop local and global environmental leaders who work to conserve and restore functioning landscapes in the Amazon Basin and beyond. ACEER began over 30 years ago as the Amazon Center for Environmental Education and Research, a collaboration between universities, schools, business conservation organizations and families in the United States and Peru. Over that time we’ve learned a lot, and today we are proud to operate as a global leader in experiential education focussed environmental issues and indigenous cultures in the Amazon basin and around the world. Our roots will always be in the Amazon, but the lessons we’ve learned over three decades in Peru’s Amazonian headwaters are valuable to everyone – everywhere – all over the world.
