Atlantic Canada Offshore Developments (ACOD) is an offshore wind development company owned by funds of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and seeking to develop the first offshore wind farm in Canada. ACOD’s project will demonstrate the immense offshore wind opportunity for Atlantic Canada with the following key objectives-To stimulate economic growth and create clean jobs -To capitalize on existing skill sets available in the region -To prove the viability of offshore wind in Atlantic Canada -To contribute to the region’s objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions -To utilize, renovate, and expand existing marine, port, and transmission infrastructure to deliver a just green transition -To demonstrate that First Nations, traditional ocean users, and fisheries can not only co-exist, but also mutually benefit and thrive, with the development of offshore wind
