Act First
Act First teaches three different aspects of critical first aid to high school students: CPR, opioid reversal (including Narcan delivery), and bleeding prevention. Through our workshops, we hope to build long-standing connections with high schools in Philadelphia so that our project can continue to educate more students in the future. Our ultimate goal is not drastically changing any statistics, but instilling confidence in students to be active bystanders. If implemented correctly, our project emboldens a new generation of young adults that will be able to act quickly in critical life-or-death medical emergencies, and hopefully, one day save a life.
