Acting Out Collaborative

We provide a wide range of learning opportunities for both youth and the community through the performing and media arts. We encourage discussion and compassion in our community. We empower teenagers and young adults to transform the negative forces in their lives into positive action. Using the performing arts/multimedia and community as a conduit not only do our teenagers and young adults learn a trade but they also learn to build relationships across differences, resolve conflicts peacefully, take on responsibility for others, give back and educate others. We also provide specialized instruction and community-based programs for youth who may fall through the cracks in the regular public education system — juvenile offenders, expelled and truant students and others at risk of dropping out. Our focus is on creating supportive learning environments where students can achieve academic, behavior and career goals.
