In addition to headquarters in Barbados, Active Re has business development offices in Miami, USA, Panama City, Panama, and Madrid, Spain. The company comprises over 80 professionals located in 18 cities across 12 countries around the world, maintains a diversified geographic business presence in more than 140 countries across Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and focuses its underwriting efforts on short-term, non-catastrophic risks. In August 2024, AM Best affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of A (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of "a"(Excellent) for Active Re. The outlook for these credit ratings remains stable. The ratings reflect Active Re's balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as strongest, as well as its strong operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management (ERM). Active Re has developed a significant global portfolio of products and solutions, which includes a full range of bancassurance products in addition to traditional lines of reinsurance and risk management services.
