Activmob is a pioneering social enterprise working with citizens and service providers to challenge existing practice and co-produce radical new ways of working, particularly in Health and Wellbeing Before making different lifestyle choices, we believe people need to understand that they can instigate these changes themselves. Activmob creates the safe environment where potential is realised and change can happen, using activity as the catalyst for gathering honest insights. This action-centred approach has helped organisations to understand the competencies, resources and assets that already exist within communities and how to best mobilise them in future collaborations. Discoveries include increased social and community capital in areas considered of high dependency, active citizenship among all ages and cohesion within communities struggling with divided generations, not to mention the increase in physical activity!
