Addi Design Studio

ADDI is a Swedish design studio founded in 2008, based in Kalmar — close to a major part of Sweden's furniture industry and the craft traditions that come with it. We design products and furniture for brands that want to make something worth making. Our work spans lighting, seating systems, homewares and cookware, for clients across Scandinavia, Europe, India and Japan. Every decision we make, the material, the mechanism, what gets simplified and what doesn't, is made with the context we can't control in mind. The room someone else designed. The architect who places it. The user we'll never meet. The decade after the trend has passed. A product has to hold up in all of those situations without us being there to explain it. That means we simplify carefully. Strip the wrong thing and the whole thing falls apart. Dezeen Awards. Red Dot. Best of NeoCon. German Design Award. Stand out. Make sense.
