Adena Scientific Limited is a privately owned New Zealand company that specialises in the design and development of technical systems for nocturnal wildlife and other zoological exhibits, in particular, nocturnal houses for the display of NZ's iconic and endangered Kiwi birds. First established in mid 1988, Adena Scientific became an incorporated company in April 1994 and continues to be operated by it's founders. We can help you plan the nocturnal house, then we design the very specialised technical infractructure that's needed for the enclosure and public viewing galleries to function as they should, and produce all the necessary drawings and documentation. During construction and installation, we work with your project team and contractors to help them integrate everything neatly into the building. Our proven designs and technologies deliver better facilities and, by eliminating problems that can be costly to fix after construction, we can save you money and provide some welcome piece of mind. We apply a science based approach to our system design work with information gathered from our own research, published research by scientists, and, most importantly, the collective experience of keepers who care for the animals on a daily basis. We have designed our software from the ground up, specifically for the control of nocturnal house systems, and have built in many unique features.
