Adichunchanagiri Polytechnic (AP) was established in the year 1988 at Chikkamagalur with the blessings of revered Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, pontiff, of Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math || asato mā sadgamaya tamasomā jyotir gamaya mrityormāamritam gamaya Om śhānti śhānti śhāntiḥ|| The college campus is spread across 65 acres of land with green surroundings and picturesque hillocks.
