Adra Thailand

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Founded in 1956 as the Seventh-day Adventist Welfare Service and renamed ADRA in 1984, the agency has a long and successful history of providing humanitarian relief and implementing development initiatives. ADRA Thailand was established in 1984 and began and began programs mainly in assisting refugees from Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar with the health care and basic human needs. As the program expanded ADRA began to include poor rural Thai people outside the refugee camps and development projects began alongside relief assistance projects.
