Advanced Metallurgical Services was formed in 1990, initially to test and certify steel plates and sections primarily for steel stockholders. Since then the company has diversified it’s activities, particularly into the fields of weld testing and failure investigations. As a small organisation, AMS has spent time to ensure all members of staff are trained to an exceptionally high standard, this is reflected in the quality and efficiency of work. We are a customer focused company who will adapt and assist with individual needs and requirements offering our expert advice to achieve a solution to your metallurgical problems. The company is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 which is internationally recognised as the premier standard for testing laboratories. The standard requires a rigorous, annual assessment of testing procedures, equipment, quality control, personnel training and qualifications and general business management.
