Adventureexpeditions
We are one of the first carbon-neutral safari providers in Kenya! At Adventure Expeditions we are committed to carbon-free travel. By committing to carbon-free travel, we are taking a decisive step toward a sustainable future, where every safari journey contributes to preserving the environment for future generations. On average, a Kenya Safari covers between 1200km to 1400km over a 6 to 7-day period, emitting about 500kg - 600kg CO2. Planting just one tree can offset this amount of CO2. However one also needs to factor in the carbon footprint of the flight from home, such as Europe. A flight from Europe to Nairobi will produce around of CO2. This can be offset by planting 9 trees per flight. This means that for an average safari holiday to Kenya, our clients should plant 19 trees to offset their carbon footprint!
