Advocate Attorneys is a consumer law practice focused on claims made pursuant to Federal Consumer Protection Statutes such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and relevant state law consumer protection statutes. Advocate typically does not intend to charge anything out-of-pocket to consumers, as these matters are typically accepted on a contingency and/or fee-shifting (in which creditors pay consumers’ legal fees) basis.
