Aegee Valladolid

We are an open association to any student or youth professional from any branch, discipline, color, race, etc. We promote cultural diversity, cooperation, communication and integration between young Europeans to reach an open-minded and tolerant society without no prejudices. AEGEE was a pioneer in opening to the East Europe right after the fall of the Berlin Wall, promoting mobility and getting ahead to the progresses of UE and its university programmes Currently, the headquarters is in Brussels, due to AEGEE has the support of the European Commission and the consultant status in the Council of Europe and United Nations. Moreover, is member of the European Youth Forum, and cooperates with UNESCO on international projects. This collaboration reflects, specially, the starting of the famous programme of youth mobility ERASMUS, on march 1987, where AEGEE was a considerate participant. The main goals are to promote actively the European spirit and foment an image of Europe unite in diversity, open and without boarders. Those goals are reached due to the trips, congresses, projects, works of group, cultural exhanges and activities welcome to every student in Europe AEGEE VALLADOLID Was created on april 2012, after signing the contract “Convention d´adhésion” with the main headquarters of AEGEE Europe. We placed the 19th headquarter of the association in Spain. Locally we focus our programmes, as an antenna, improving the language skills of young people. Thanks to the project “YVote 2014, It´s up to You(th)”, which promoted the youth participation on the European Selections for the European Parliament, AEGEE-Valladolid organized the first conference. On it, 25 youths of different countries around Europe analized the lack of youth participation and proposed activities to foment the voting. As an interesting data, we are part from the Local Council of Youth of Castilla y León since the 29th of September 2015.
