Affirming Black Voices

A platform to magnify African American voices by promoting self-acceptance and authenticity through the power of representation in literature, business, digital content & film After Founder/CEO Porsha Hargrove’s mother succumbed to cancer in April 2015, she turned to writing as a coping mechanism. What began as painful journaling turned to passionate inspiration to affirm and uplift others by sharing lessons, history, wisdom, and life knowledge instilled in her by her mother. This passion coupled with her sister's drive to start a publishing company gave way to the Joyful Black Child book series, an inspiring children's book series that positively reinforces that every child has a sense of worth and should be loved and affirmed.
