Afghan Laziz

Four years ago, Kathere and her family fled from Afghanistan. Kira and Khatere met one year ago during Kira's final years’s school project where I wrote a cookbook featuring the recipes and personal stories of three refugee women. Now Khatere is following her dream of turning her passion for her home country’s cuisine into a business called Afghan Laziz. Now we are close to hitting the streets with our Afghan Laziz food truck. Our vision is to introduce Swiss people to the Afghan cuisine and culture by serving our fresh homemade Afghan specialties on wheels. Afghan Laziz also provides a catering service, and we offer cooking lessons, online and in person. We aim to use food, one love we all have in common, as an intercultural bridge between the Swiss people and refugee communities in Switzerland.
