La Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos es el ente encargado de ejecutar las políticas impulsadas por el Poder Ejecutivo Nacional en materia tributaria, aduanera y de recaudación de los recursos de la seguridad social. Este organismo creado en el año 1997 (Decreto 618/1997) está integrado por la Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA), la Dirección General Impositiva (DGI) y la Dirección General de los Recursos de la Seguridad Social (DGRSS).
