African Research Collaborative

The mission of the African Research Collaborative (ARC) is to provide educational and public outreach focused on global citizenship and cultural diversity through transnational research, education and civic ethical, mutually beneficial, and culturally appropriate transnational research and engagement globally. Our vision is a dynamic research collaborative seeking solutions to persistent global issues of inequity through mutual transnational exchange. ARC has three core areas of support: • Cultural Exchange • education: STEM, research capacity building • Strategic International Mentorships and Partnerships ARC was conceived in 2018 from the founders’ transnational experiences, research, and relationships forged by negotiating American and African contexts. The diversity of those experiences and relationships in both contexts provide an international reach that touches individuals, institutions, organizations, businesses, and communities. ARC draws strength from the critical researcher minds of the founders providing it a perspectival advantage in the landscape of international nonprofits. ARC’s programming is rooted in mutual benefit and collective values that engage US and African stakeholders in strategic long-term transnational relationships.
