Afrika Ithute Trust

Established in 2016, Afrika Ithute offers leadership development program that seeks to build ethical leadership founded on African principles and philosophies of individual and collective leadership. The program integrates mentorship from prominent leaders and successful entrepreneurs across various sectors. The program comprises leadership development, followed by career development or entrepreneurship development. These development programs have been packaged into the Budding Lead and Rising Lead Programs for senior secondary school learners and tertiary students respectively. As at end of 2017, the Budding Lead program is in its first year of full operation. We have collaborated with Kgari Sechele II Senior Secondary School in Molepolole and have significantly impacted the lives of learners by taking them through weekly Saturday morning sessions of leadership and career development. The sessions have yielded growth and improved academic performance among the learners who have been subsequently paired with Mentors. Learners emerging from the program have progressed to university and have attributed their success to Afrika Ithute. Afrika Ithute’s work has been featured on the Botswana Investor Magazine and at the Botswana Innovation Hub under the theme: “Developing Future Leaders and Molding Entrepreneurs”.
