What is Afro Flow Yoga®? Afro Flow Yoga® infuses electrifying dance movements of the African Diaspora with a meditative yoga sequence in connection to the elements of nature. Deeply connect with soulful rhythms of live drums in a heart opening, inclusive, diverse and non-judgmental environment. The Founders Leslie Salmon Jones and Jeffrey W. Jones, a husband and wife team, founded Afro Flow Yoga in September 2008 with a mission to promote healing, balance, peace and the elevation of all humanity through the practices of yoga, dance, rhythms, spirituality and cultural values of the African Diaspora, in a compassionate, non-judgmental and safe environment. Vision We envision a world where the oppression of all beings has been alleviated and nature has been restored back to a state of harmony. Through the traditions and teachings of dances of the African Diaspora, yogic practices, healing rhythms, love, and compassion, we awaken out of the illusions of separation of self, others and nature. We celebrate, honor and respect our shared humanity and cultural differences through the deep wisdom of our personal stories and stories and traditions of our ancestors, bridging cultural divides through ritual, healing, joy, nature and the recognition of our Oneness in the Divine.
