After School Special

Founded in 2016 After School Special is a 501c3 non-profit organization that wants teenagers to reach their full potential in life. We teach life skills to teens with 4 focuses. Self-Love Compassion Finding One’s Passion Social Skills With this technology driven era, as technology advances a lot of teens foundation are being lost and we want to get back to the basics. We strive to restore these values one teen at a time. Based on our research a lot of schools are very focused on academics. When you focus too much on one thing other aspects suffer. Focusing on academics and careers aren’t enough to become a well-rounded adult. We recognize that in today’s world parents are working more than they were in the 1970’s. After School Special wants to build emotional and mental strength within teens. We will equip all teens with tools to navigate through life. After graduation of High School teens who have been a part of our organization will be able to reach back and still receive services from us. We recognize the learning process never stops and we want our teens to be able to make the right choices in life. After School Special’s Concept: to develop the teenager’s sense of self and exposure to specific professions within their area of interest Project M.E- Programs designed to assist with self-love techniques/health/emotional skills building.
